My approach

Having been a wedding photographer for the past decade, I’ve come to realise that a wedding isn’t just one big day. It encapsulates everything in your life that has led you here. It’s the friendships that you’ve nurtured, the family that you’ve chosen, and the love that you’ve put out into the world that have led you to this very day…a day to celebrate not just this moment in time, but also the journey that brought you here and the people who have shaped you along the way.

I’m truly humbled when a couple invites me to photograph a day as intimate as this. As a sensitive people observer with a keen eye for light, space and details, my approach is always to document the day in an authentic and artistic way whilst being unobtrusive. I aim to create honest images that reflect the love and connection that was shared on your wedding day. Rather than a series of posed photographs, I’m interested in capturing fragments of unscripted, fleeting moments where people are truly present in the moment as themselves.

I want to give you a collection of photos that are beautiful and heartfelt in the hope that when you look back at them in the years to come, you will be transported back to how it all felt.

FAQ

  • I’m based in Brighton and I mostly cover weddings in London, Brighton and the South East. However I love to travel; I will go anywhere your wedding takes me if you ask nicely!

  • We do whatever you want to do! We can go for a coffee, we can go for a hike, we can go for a stroll in town. Anything you decide to do I'll be shooting away, so you can get creative! It will also be a great opportunity for us to get to know each other better and for you to practice being in front of the camera. You'll get around 90 photos that you can use for your save the date cards too.

  • Yes. Although I shoot in a documentary style I do take some time on your wedding day to photograph group/family photos as these can be important. I’ve gotten rather good at organising big groups of people, meaning that I won’t keep you away from your champagne for too long!

  • Depending on the time of the year, the average turnaround time for the full set of images is 6-8 weeks after your wedding. The edited photos will be delivered via a password protected gallery that is available for you to share with your friends & family, on which they have the option of ordering high quality prints and albums from professional labs.

  • I have never not turned up to a wedding, I'd literally have to be knocked over by a train to not attend but if that does happen I'm friends with a wide network of wedding photographers who would step in to help. If none of them are available I'm also on a few emergency cover groups and there are hundreds of UK photographers on there to help each other out on short notice.

  • I obtain the copyright to the images but you have the unlimited right to print, share and use them. Essentially you can do pretty much anything with them apart from commercial use.

  • Yes. I have public liability and professional indemnity insurance, all my camera gear is insured too.

  • If you could that would be much appreciated! I like food.
